Students from Ms. Twichell's French class at CHMS held video conversations this morning with their pen pals in France. Skype sessions were run on five different iPads, and students took turns speaking to their pen pals, while their curious friends looked on over their shoulders.
Ms. Twichell connected her students with a French school where she previously worked as an English teacher. The students spoke both English and French to each other, and asked each other questions about their favorite things, their families, school, sports, the weather, and so much more. The students found they had many things in common, and CHMS students were very surprised at how well their French counterparts spoke English. One student remarked, "they speak English better than I do!"
